π Opening Hours
The library is open on all working days from 08:00 a.m. to 03:00 p.m.
πͺͺ Library Membership
- Students from Class VI and above must maintain a Library Notebook.
- Notebook specifications:
- King Size (24 cm Γ 18 cm)
- Ruled, 200 pages
- Covered with brown sheet
- The notebook need to be submittted in the beginning of the academic session to receive the Library Card.
- Library account becomes active only after submitting your notebook and receiving the library card.
- Students of Class IV & V may borrow books on prescribed days. For information on how to avail the facility contact Librarian
π Library Notebook
- Mandatory during all library periods.
- Used for:
- Reading experiences
- Book reviews
- Library activities
- Feedback and suggestions
- No restriction on content.
- Submit periodically to earn Library Points.

Library Periods
- Classes VIβXII have one library period per week.
- Students may:
- Read books, newspapers, and magazines
- Use computers, coding kits, DIY kits, Chromebooks
- Use reference materials
- Issue and return books
- Participate in libary activities
- No need to get permission to use the resources. Ensure that you maintain discipline and keep the resources back properly in its place. Library can be used during free periods if no class is scheduled with written permission from the subject teacher concerned.
π Issue & Return of Books
- Maximum 2 books per student for 14 days.
- Staff may borrow up to 5 books.
- Books can be issued:
- During library periods
- During lunch break. Students will not be permitted to issue/return books during snacks break and subject periods.
- After school hours
- Students must carry Library Card / Notebook / ID Card to issue books.
- As our library follows Self Circulation System, please watch the Library Orientation Video and follow the instructions.
- Do not leave library cards inside books while returning.
π± Issue of Books During Library Period
- Book issue will take place towards the end of the library period.
- After the announcement, students may proceed to select the books they wish to borrow.
- Report to the Self Circulation System and wait patiently for your turn.
- Present your ID Card / Library Notebook / Library Card for verification.
- After verification, scan the book barcode using the system.
- Wait for the confirmation message or audio alert indicating successful issue.
- Once confirmed, you may take the book and leave the library in an orderly manner.
π Book Return Procedure
- If you have a book to return, do so immediately upon entering the library.
- Proceed to the Book Return System (Chromebook).
- Scan the book using the barcode reader.
- Wait for the confirmation message and ensure the return is successfully recorded.
- Note the shelf number displayed by the system.
- Place the book neatly in its correct location on the shelf.
π± Lunch Break Library Use
- Secondary students may visit the library during the lunch break.
- Please check the daily notice on the library door before entering.
- Return books first, and then proceed to issue new ones.
- Wait patiently for your turn.
- Cooperate with library volunteers and follow their instructions.
- Students may issue only one book at a time to manage the rush.
- Strictly follow all instructions. Any violation may result in negative library points.
π General Library Rules
- The class must come together and enter the library in an orderly line.
- No permission required during to enter the library anytime, but avoid disturbance.
- Maintain discipline at all times.
- Do not run or stand in doorways.
- Wait for your turn and cooperate with others.
- Bring your library notebook and pen.
- Do not bring personal books or textbooks.
- Keep books in their proper place after use.
- If in doubt, consult the librarian.
- Do not visit for issue/return if you already have a library period that day.
π Special Notes
- Reference books are for library use only (unless permitted).
- Latest magazines are not issued.
- Old issues of magazines may be borrowed.
- Primary classes (IβV) use Junior Library and class libraries.
π’ Note: Students are encouraged to make maximum use of library facilities and develop a habit of reading.
