💡 Best User of the Year Awards | PM SHRI KV Kanjikode

The Best User of the Year Award is presented to students who achieve the prescribed minimum library points during the academic year and demonstrate consistent and meaningful engagement with the library and its resources.

Award recipients are selected based on a combination of the following criteria:

  • Books Issued: Regular borrowing of books and an interest in exploring a variety of subjects, authors, and genres.
  • Participation in Library Activities: Active involvement in library programmes, workshops, reading challenges, quizzes, exhibitions, and other reading-related activities.
  • Contribution to the Readers' Club: Meaningful participation in Readers' Club discussions, projects, programmes, and initiatives.
  • Assistance in the Library: Willingness to volunteer, assist with day-to-day library activities, and support fellow students in making effective use of the library.
  • Library Notes and Reading Diary: Regular and systematic maintenance of library notes, reading records, book reviews, reflections, and reading diary entries.
  • Library Behaviour: Responsible, respectful, and considerate behaviour, including proper care of books and other library resources.

The Best User Award is the first stage of the library's annual recognition process. Students shortlisted for the Best User of the Year Award undergo a further face-to-face evaluation. This additional round helps the Library Committee identify students who demonstrate exceptional reading habits, knowledge of books, enthusiasm for reading, and a deeper engagement with the library.

The final selection from the shortlisted Best Users is honoured with the prestigious Outstanding Reader of the Year Award.

The certificates and prizes are sponsored by our alumnus Mr. Kiran Ramachandran
